(My hand was shaky as I took the photo due to my excitement, so excuse me if the image is a bit blurry.)

Last night marked the official launch of frndofthepeople. After running into Lupe Fiasco at the Dialogue between Cornel West and Carl Dix in City College, we asked him for his blessing to launch this blog to promote the revolution of conscious thought (in other words, don’t sue us Lu). He was gracious enough to grant our request, and the sky’s the limit from here.

Much thanks to Dr. West and Mr. Dix for imparting their knowledge and experience with the audience. Very inspiring dialogue that went down. Big shout out to Gbenga Akinnagbe, who played Chris Partlow in HBO’s “The Wire”, and came to support, show love, and ask very thought provoking questions to these estimable gentleman. And of course, to Mr. Lupe Fiasco, thank you.

With that being said, let’s get to work.
